Extracurriculars

As the co-president of one of MCW’s most respected organizations, I helped strengthen the Military Medical Student Association’s legacy of service, mentorship, and community. Our flagship initiative, Warrior Partnership, brought together veterans and medical students for powerful small-group conversations—creating a campus-wide dialogue around military culture and veteran-centered care. Under my leadership, we expanded participation, improved curriculum, and deepened the impact of one of MCW’s most meaningful student-led events.

I co-led the MAEE, a first-of-its-kind medical elective dedicated to improving veteran healthcare. This multi-week course teaches medical students how to engage with veterans, understand military trauma, and provide evidence-based care for PTSD and TBI. I’m now conducting research to assess its impact—with the goal of integrating veteran training into medical curricula nationwide. This research will act as my 'Scholarly Project' required to graduate from MCW.

As an MCW Admissions volunteer, I serve as a face of the school—leading tours, mentoring applicants, and supporting recruitment efforts. I help shape the future of our institution by sharing my experience with authenticity and pride, ensuring prospective students feel welcomed and inspired. Also, being selected as a senior medical student, I am was given the opportunity to conduct interviews for various medical student applicants.
